In DURAN DURAN's down time, John Taylor formed 80's supergroup, THE POWER STATION with the late ROBERT PALMER, the late TONY THOMPSON (of Chic fame) and Duran bandmate ANDY TAYLOR.
In the mid 90's, JT formed the L.A. supergroup, NEUROTIC OUTSIDERS (originally called Neurotic Boy Outsider) with DUFF MCKAGEN and MATT SORUM of VELVET REVOLVER (formerly Guns N Roses) and STEVIE JONES of THE SEX PISTOLS.

John dropped the use of his first name, Nigel, for obvious reasons.

JT also enjoyed some small scale Hollywood success in films like 'Sugartown' and 'The Flinstones 2' . John also guest starred on an episode of 'That 70's Show'. .
